The Department of Frivolous Affairs

Welcome to the Department of Frivolous Affairs, where we take creativity seriously, even when absolutely nothing else is!

Based in Lexington, North Carolina, we specialize in public craft workshops, private creative parties, and traveling group experiences that bring people together through creativity, laughter, and a little officially sanctioned frivolity.

Whether you’re joining us for a scheduled workshop or inviting the Department to your next gathering, our mission is simple: make something wonderful, enjoy good company, and create lasting memories.

No artistic credentials required. Enthusiasm encouraged. Excessive seriousness discouraged.

Creating unnecessary things. Making absolutely necessary memories.
